What is TruePlay?

Program Highlights

TruePlay is for players who want more than traditional rec soccer but way less than the all-consuming world of club. It’s designed to meet kids where they are and help them keep growing without the pressure or burnout. They’ll learn life lessons and be able to stay in the game without all the stress.

  • Train + Play Format
  • 1 training session/week
  • Weekend games (8 weeks)
  • No travel; play in Overland Park, Prairie Village, Brookside areas
  • Flexible scheduling - miss practice? Not a big deal

No Drama. No Pressure. Just Play

It is ideal for:

  • Players whose rec team folded or rec teams needing a coach
  • Players stepping away from premier/club
  • Multi-sport athletes who still want to train
  • Kids who want a mental break from the pressure, but not from the game

Program Vision

Elevated rec soccer

Club quality coaching for 8 weeks with Coach Carrie and Coach Bridget, and our G-CAP coaches. Whether or not you’re with a team, you are welcome to join our program and train with us. We will be offering two different programs:

  • Ignite is our entry-level developmental soccer program where players are introduced to the fundamentals of the game in a supportive, uplifting environment. Ideal for rec teams and rec players.
  • Elevate offers higher intensity trainings and play without the pressure of year-round demands

Depending on numbers, Ignite players will form into teams to  play in local rec leagues. For the Elevate players, we are exploring play options, likely playing “up” in rec leagues.  In addition to our player programs, we will have a Rec Coach Platform with weekly practice sessions available for rec coaches with teams. 

Everything we do is rooted in a desire to keep players in the game with a focus on technical skills, tactical understanding and mental health and happiness.
